The Only Part:

My secret is glorious-
My small part of your soul.
The tiniest part that is only mine,
floating to my softest places.

And now, I know- what no one else knows.
And it is glorious.
It is gloriously mine.


On Falling in Love:
Once when we were out
we saw an old couple
Arm in Arm
supporting each other over every bump in the sidewalk.

Him: Suspenders.
Her: Shocking red lipstick.

My thought: That's me and my husband someday.
Your words: That's me and my wife someday.


ok,ok, not the best writing I've ever done but good that I am writing after being sooooooooooooo out of practice.

Make that a week

I need a doubleshot, I'll settle for a few solid hours of sleep.

I've spent most of the last week either awake or drifting in and out of wakefullness. Tending to a sick baby (who doesn't know if she wants to eat or spitup) just isn't conducive to having any sort of break to recover. 6 weeks now, nowhere near recovery. Makes me ancy which makes me pick fights. Thank God for little Jack who makes me laugh hysterically once a day. Weeks like this and I know why I'm not writing. Gotta go, crying baby. 2 hours of rest please!

I'm ashamed of myself. I've decided that I am goign to start writing on my blogspot again. Also, I am going to start writing poetry again. What was I thinking not writing for all this time?

Long Time No . . . Blog

I'm finally settling into a groove. There are a lot of little things to remember with 11 boys (Little Jack included). We love it here, Jack is now addicted to Zelda thanks to the other addicts in the house and free use of video games all day while the boys are at school (provided all paper work is done and we don't have meetings.)

Little Jack is getting over his first cold, he's been sleeping a lot today, I'm glad. Now, I'm sick. And somehow I broke a huge blood vessel in my eye or something, I call it "Halloween Eye" because it's pretty scary looking. (Eric I took a picture so I could send it to you but I can't find my chord to send my pictures to the computer right now.)

I miss my Chicago friends! They all act as if we live half way across the country now and threw our cell phones into the lake. If you run into any of them, have them call.

Book . . . meme?

Yes, tagged. I got tagged on my xanga and forgot to do it so I will be answering two tags today. I am kind of excited because until the past month or so I'd never been tageed and although I thought it was dumb, I secretly envied those who were tagged.

The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer. Amazing book, put me in my place.

2. One book you've read more than once?
Since "How Dinosaurs Count to Ten" doesn't count, I will say F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby." Also a really good book

3. One book you would want on a desert island?
I think I will have to be a good Moody girl and say my Bible. :)

4. One book that made you laugh?
ummmm....this is a hard one but I guess it would have to be "Where the Wild Things are!"
"Let the Wild Rumpus Begin!"

5. One book that made you cry?
"Night" by Elie Weisel. Read it, you will cry too. I think I cried with "The Picture of Dorian Grey" too. That's oscar Wilde

6. One book you wish had been written?
Can God make a Rock so Big he Can't Lift it (and other unanswerable questions regarding the nature of God) By anyone in the Holy Trinity.

7.One book you wish had never been written?
Maybe Olson's "What in the World is God Doing" or "From Jerusalem to Irian Jaya". dry dry dry.

8. One book you are currently reading?
I have not been a very good reader lately but I am soon finishing "Cashflow Quadrants" by Robert Kiyosaki.

C.S. Lewis "Mere Christianity"
